Job Title: Genomics Data Science Trainer

Location: Remote

Job Type: Full-time

Duration: Initial 6-month probation period, with potential for long-term employment upon satisfactory performance 

About Us:

SciMedian is a dynamic online education platform dedicated to bridging the gap in genomics data science education. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Genomics Data Science Trainer.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging online lectures on various topics covering genomics data science, including algorithms for DNA sequencing, GUI and CLI for genomic data analysis, Bioconductor, and Statistics for genomics data science.

Provide hands-on training on various NGS data analysis topics such as Bulk RNA seq, Single-cell RNA seq, WGS, WES, GWAS, and various epigenomics assays.

Conduct interactive quiz sessions to reinforce learning.

Oversee genomics data projects for hands-on application.

Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering a conducive learning environment.

Engage with other members of the Data Science and Business Team for support as required

Requirements:

• MSc or PhD in Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in training and Data Analysis in the Genomics and Bioinformatics domains.
• Proficient in R or Python for Genomic Data analysis.
• Familiarity with genomic data analysis tools, including Galaxy server and Bioconductor.
• Experience in DNA sequencing algorithms and statistical analysis for genomics data.
• Knowledge of NGS data analysis techniques (e.g. Bulk RNA seq, Single cell RNA seq, WGS, WES, GWAS).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
